Alright...for all you pathetic first timers I shall try and explain the show for you, though mind you it shall not be easy...I can verge off into insanity at any moment...be waaaaaarned! Ahem...anyways, tis about a young irken invader...Zim, who is oh so awesome. Zim is...very short...shorter than his fellow Irkens. Now, Irkens you may ask...what are Irkens? Well your info Irkens are aliens who infest the planet Irk and get sent off to other planets and...do...stuff. Now, Irk has two leaders, they are called The Tallest...most likely because they are the tallest (the rest of the Irkens are 3 feet tall). The Tallest combines Red and Purple (both live up to their name). So on this planet assigney-thing day they assign planets to..well..Irkens. Zim shows up late but luckily gets an assignment, mainly because The Tallest basically want him out of their existance. They send him to Earth and throw him off with GIR...GIR is a type of SIR (Service Information Retrieval Unit). No one really knows what the G in GIR stands for, though most suppose it stands for garbage...as of what they threw in for his brains. Zim now lurks on planet Earth, along with GIR. He is on a mission to destroy all earthlings, Operation Impending Doom. Zim resides in a 4th grade classroom, one of his classmates being the totally cool Dib. Dib is an alien obsessive and is...different...than the rest of the kids at school. They all pretty much hate Dib. But when Zim comes into school Dib notices something a bit out of the ordinary about Zim. Maybe it's his green skin, his lack of ears, or his uncanny ability to have the air of something so sneaky and suspicious going on. But Dib is out to stop him from destroying the humans. This, my friends, is what Invader Zim is all about.
